El-Rufai and NSA Nuhu Ribadu Visit Atiku Abubakar in Abuja




Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, recently paid a visit to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at his residence in Asokoro, Abuja. The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was officially confirmed by Atiku's media aide, AbdulRasheed Shehu.

The purpose of El-Rufai’s visit was to formally seek the hand of Atiku’s daughter, Hafsat Abubakar, in marriage on behalf of the family of Kashim Imam. The event marked a significant moment as it brought together several prominent figures in Nigerian politics.

In a statement released by Atiku’s media team, it was noted, “His Excellency Atiku Abubakar welcomed the family of Kashim Imam, led by former Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai, to his Asokoro residence. The delegation came to formally request the hand of his daughter, Hafsat Atiku Abubakar, in marriage.”

Among the notable attendees were the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, as well as former governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa State and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, demonstrating the high regard in which Atiku Abubakar is held.

The intimate gathering underscored the importance of the occasion, reflecting both the respect for Atiku within political circles and the significance of the matrimonial alliance being discussed.
