NYSC DG Advises Corps Members Against Posting Camp Activities on Social Media

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has cautioned corps members to avoid sharing orientation camp activities on social media.

During his address to the Batch B Stream I corps members at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Ede, Osun State, on Friday, General Ahmed emphasized the seriousness of this rule. He noted that violating this directive could lead to severe consequences, including being decamped from the orientation camp.

"It is an offence to carry out activities of the camp and post them on social media. The penalty is that such corps members will be decamped," Ahmed stated.

He further urged the corps members to respect the opinions, cultures, values, and norms of the communities where they are deployed. In addition, General Ahmed advised against seeking redeployment or relocation, encouraging corps members to remain at their initial postings and make a positive impact in their assigned communities.
