Ikwerre CTC Chairman Inaugurates Members and Other Political Appointees

On Monday, June 24, 2024, Hon. Darlington Orji, the Care-taker Committee Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, inaugurated the newly appointed caretaker committee members and other political appointees. The ceremony took place at the Customary Court in Elele, within the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

During the event, Chairman Orji emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order while discharging their duties. He urged the newly inaugurated members to view their positions as a call to serve, contributing to the success of his administration and that of the State Government led by Sir Siminalayi Fubara.


Chairman Orji expressed his gratitude to Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the opportunity to serve, promising that his team would not disappoint. The newly inaugurated committee members and political appointees are expected to bring positive changes and support the local administration's goals.


The appointed CTC members and their respective roles are:


- Engr. Newton Amadi - Supervisor for Health

- Engr. Chinedu Wodike - Supervisor for Education

- Daniel Eluke - Supervisor for Agriculture

- ThankGod Ichem - Supervisor for Works

- Harold Onuoha - Supervisor for Special Duties


The principal officers include:


- Mrs. Helena Chinwendu Orduwa - Council Secretary

- Sir Jonathan Opurum - Chief of Staff

- Sir Innocent Worusah - Principal Secretary to the Chairman

- Israel Abosi - Legal Adviser

- Kingsley Echedike - Chief Press Secretary

- Azubuike Samuel Chigoziri - Protocol Officer

- Lucky Emmanuel - Chief Security Officer.

The inauguration event was graced by several dignitaries, including Hon. Boniface Emerengwa, member representing Ikwerre Emuoha federal constituency; Sir Mike Elechi, Rivers State Civil Service Commissioner; traditional leaders; Mrs. Fortune Nne Okah, Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA) Ikwerre LGA; Hon. Denis Amadi, Chairman of PDP Ikwerre LGA; and numerous party faithful.


The inauguration marks a significant step for Ikwerre Local Government Area, as the new team begins their journey to enhance governance and public service. The collaboration between the local and state governments is expected to foster development and address the needs of the community.
