Emir Sanusi to Lead Friday Prayers at Kano Central Mosque Amid Tight Security, Confirms Police Commissioner

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed that Emir Muhammad Sanusi II will lead the Friday prayers at the central mosque. This announcement clarifies earlier reports that had suggested Emir Aminu Bayero would be leading the service.

Police Commissioner Usaini Gumel stated on Friday that Emir Aminu Bayero will be conducting his Friday prayers at the mosque within Nasarawa Palace, where he currently resides.

Commissioner Gumel emphasized that robust security measures have been arranged at the Emir of Kano's palace for the Jummah prayers led by Emir Sanusi. State security agencies are working together to ensure the safety of the event.

He urged the public to ignore false information circulating on social media and to continue their daily activities without fear. The police will provide the necessary security to ensure that residents can observe their Friday congregational prayers peacefully, without any threats to their lives or property.
